Ensures meetings are effectively organised and minuted; records are effectively managed; the legal requirements of governing documents, in conjunction with Public Officer, local organisation laws, and Rotary responsibilities are upheld; and communication of all sorts, with members and the board, are consistent, timely, and informative.
Area Governors x 8
Assists the District Governor, engages and inspires members, and promotes Rotary in their Area. The Area Governor position is a two-year position.
Functional Services Team Leader – Administration
Liaises with committees and officers who have responsibilities for the efficient running of the district; encourages and assists clubs to use efficient administration practices so that clubs function successfully. Committees and Officers include Alumni, Assets/Property/Archives, District Conference, District Conflict Resolutions, District Directory, Diversity-Equity-Inclusion (DEI), Governance, Information Technology, Insurance Officer, Legal Officer, Newsletter, and Public Officer.
Functional Services Team Leader – Club Development
Liaises with committees and officers who have responsibilities for the growth and development of their clubs and the formation of new clubs. Committees and Officers include Club Visioning, Learning & Development, Membership, Public Image, Rotaract, and Rotary Leadership Institute (RLI).
Functional Services Team Leader – Rotary Foundation
Educates clubs about the Foundation and inspires them to support its programs and fundraising activities. Responsibilities also include authorising the use of DDF for grants and qualifying the clubs in your district to apply for grants. Committees and Officers include Annual Fund / PH Society Major Gifts, District Grants, Global Grants, Peace Scholars, Polio Fund, Stewardship, and Vocational Training Teams.
Functional Services Team Leader – Youth Services
Ensures the smooth operation of the district through the provision of advice and consulting with Youth Programs Committee Chairs and Coordinators when called for. Committees and Coordinators include Youth Protection, Interact, Model United Nations Assembly (MUNA), National Youth Science Forum (NYSF), Public Speaking Competition, Rotary Youth Program of Enrichment (RYPEN), Science & Engineering Challenge, Youth Exchange Program (YEP), and Youth Insearch.
Functional Services Team Leader – Service Projects
Coordinates committees who work with clubs to develop and implement service projects that address the needs of their community and communities in other places.
Community Services: Australian Rotary Health, Environment, Honours, Natural Disaster Response, Outback Links, Probus, and Rescue Helicopter.
Service Projects: Disaster Aid, Interplast, Rotary Australia World Community Service (RAWCS), Rotarians Against Malaria (RAM), Rotary Oceania Medical Aid for Children (ROMAC), Rotary Friendship Exchange, and Shelterbox.
Vocational Services: Group Study Exchange (GSE), New Generations Service Exchange (NGSE), and Rotary Youth Leadership Academy (RYLA).
Finance Committee Chair
Supervises district funds and prepares annual reports on the status of the district’s finances; by maintaining transparent financing and good stewardship it makes sure that clubs remain in proper financial standing with RI and the district.
Youth Protection Officer
Raises awareness of risk management issues for youth programs and ensures that the district, clubs, and all program volunteers comply with NSW Legislation, RI and district abuse and harassment policies.
